What is Student Support Services?Student Support Services is a federally funded TRIO program aimed at students who are traditionally under-represented in college. This program is designed to help students who meet federal guidelines to persist to graduation, and transfer to a four-year university within four years. How to QualifyTo qualify for Student Support Services student must show academic need, must be either first generation (neither parent holds a bachelor’s degree), meet federal income-guidelines, or have a documented learning or physical disability. Provided ServicesStudent Support Services provides one-on-one tutoring, career exploration, academic advisement, transfer information to post-secondary institutions, financial literacy, and financial aid counseling. All services are free to qualifying participants. The Student Support Services office is located in the southeast area of the Robert Burnett Memorial Student Union. Office hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. |
