Clubs and Organizations

Colby Community College is committed to providing co-curricular activities that will assist students in the development of leadership skills and community service skills that compliment classroom education. Involvement in student organizations provides students with opportunities to grow as a citizen. CCC is excited to support student clubs and staff and faculty are prepared to help you achieve your goals.

Why Join an Organization?

So you have found an organization that you want to join, or an idea for an organization that you would like to found, but unsure of why you should actually do it? Here are just a few examples of some amazing benefits of joining a student organization:

  • You get more connected to the school and community
  • You can find your strengths and passion you may not have known about
  • You can build your resume
  • Studies on average demonstrate that a student who is involved is likely to be more successful

Student Government Association

The Student Government Association is open to all students at Colby Community College. The Student Government Association helps plan events at the college for students and the community at large. They also help support other campus organizations.

In the spring, the student body elects Student Government Association officers who will serve their terms the following year. The positions are open to any student who will be enrolled full-time for the entire academic year. Emails are sent to students regarding elections in the spring.
