Colby Community College is coordinated by the Kansas Board of Regents and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Accreditation was reaffirmed in December 2020. The most recent site visit was held Sept. 14-15, 2026.

Online Education State Authorization
Colby Community College has been approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). NC-SARA is not an accrediting body. Participation allows the College to enroll eligible out-of-state residents in online courses under the reciprocity agreement.
