Student Checklist to Apply for Financial Aid

Review the checklist below to complete the financial aid application at Colby Community College. If you have questions, we are happy to help you at any step in the process.

Complete These Steps

  1. Complete the Admissions Checklist

    Contact Admissions at admissions@colbycc.edu  or 785-460-4690 with any questions.

    • Official high school transcripts must be received directly from the issuing institution.

  2. Complete the FAFSA

    Visit StudentAid.gov to apply for your FSA ID. Students under 24 years of age should note that their parents will also need to apply for an FSA ID.

    • Use school code 00191100 to include CCC for aid processing.

  3. Apply for Scholarships

    Log in to your ePortal account using the login credentials from your welcome email. Submit your scholarship application through Award Spring.

    • Review additional information about Colby Community College scholarships.

  4. Check Your Trojan Email Daily

    Check your Trojan email account daily for updates on scholarships and financial aid.

  5. Complete Loan Requirements, If Accepting Federal Student Loans

    If accepting one or more Federal Student Loans, complete Entrance Counseling and the Direct Stafford Master Promissory Note.

Financial aid steps may require follow-up through your student account or Trojan email. Watch for messages from Colby Community College and respond promptly to requests for additional information.
