Colby Community College Counseling Services is offering two events during Violence Prevention Week, April 13-17. Both events are in the Bedker Memorial Complex at7 p.m. in room 711.

Monday, April 13, CCC counselor and instructor Ryan Hale will make a presentation called “Healthy Relationships: values-based partner selection.” The one-hour presentation examines relationship choices as well as other aspects of healthy relationships.

On Tuesday, April 14, the documentary “Girl Rising” will be shown. The film highlights the importance of education and its power to change the lives and living conditions of women all over the world. Narrated by Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Selena Gomez, Salma Hayek, Alicia Keys, Liam Neeson, and Meryl Streep, the film shares stories of nine girls from around the globe.

Admission is free but limited to the first 50 attendees.
