Two certified nurse aide classes will be offered by Colby Community College during the fall semester, from Aug. 17 through Oct. 7 and from Sept. 14 through Dec. 10.
Each of the five credit-hour classes uses a hybrid format. Students complete the lecture portion online and meet in person at a clinical site for laboratory and clinical instruction.
Certified nurse aides provide basic, hands-on care under the supervision of licensed nurses. They may work in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, rehabilitation centers, home health agencies and other health care settings. CNA certification can also provide an entry point for students interested in pursuing additional education in nursing or another health profession.
Enrollment is limited to 10 students per course.
