Beginning Monday, Aug. 27, Colby Community College will offer a course on the fundamentals of officiating football, volleyball, basketball and wrestling. The class, Techniques of Officiating, will be held Mondays and Tuesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. in room 705 of the Bedker Memorial Complex.

At the conclusion of the course, participants will know how to officiate games at the high school and middle school levels. Those completing also have the potential to get certified through the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA).

The course registration fee is $50. Students also have the option to enroll for one credit hour of college credit.
