Candy buy-back benefits troops
Candy buy-back benefits troops
Colby Community College will be hosting a candy buy-back on Wednesday, Nov. 1 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Thomas Hall administration office.
All wrapped candy will be purchased for $1 per pound and then sent to troops via Operation Gratitude. With the candy, participants are also encouraged to take a thank-you note or drawing for the troops.
Operation Gratitude sends care packages filled with snacks, entertainment, hygiene and hand-made items, plus personal letters of appreciation, to recruits, veterans, first responders, wounded heroes, care givers and to individually named U.S. service members deployed overseas.
For more information on the candy buy-back, call (785) 460-5411 or email publicinfo@colbycc.edu.
