Sustainable-renewable energy receives donation
Midwest Energy recently donated $1,000 to the Colby Community College Sustainable/Renewable energy program.
Mike Morley, corporate communications manager of Midwest Energy, was on campus to make the presentation to program director Derek Reilley.
“With the wind and solar industry growing at 30 percent annually, we appreciate Midwest Energy’s support that allows us to help students stay current in real-world labs,” Reilley said.
The money will be used to purchase equipment or provide scholarships.
CCC solar and wind classes begin every eight weeks and are offered through online and hybrid formats.
