Why Join an Organization

So you have found an organization that you want to join, or an idea for an organization that you would like to found, but unsure of why you should actually do it? Here are just a few examples of some amazing benefits of joining a student organization:

  • You get more connected to the school and community
  • You can find your strengths and passion you may not have known about
  • You can build your resume
  • Studies on average demonstrate that a student who is involved is likely to be more successful

Student Government Association

The Student Government Association is open to all students at Colby Community College. The Student Government Association helps plan events at the college for students and the community at large. They also help support other campus organizations. Meetings are open to the school and take place every Thursday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Student Life office located in the Student Union. Those looking to join the organization can pick up an application in the Student Life Office.
