Faculty Profile

Doris Schiffner is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with more than 35 years of experience in the accounting profession. She holds a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from Fort Hays State University.

Throughout her career, Schiffner has worked in both the public and private sectors and has experience across a variety of industries, including government, nonprofit, retail, education, and casino operations. Her broad professional background provides students with practical insight into real-world accounting and business applications.

Schiffner has been part of the Colby Community College community for several years and considers teaching at CCC her favorite role. She enjoys discussing accounting and business concepts and is passionate about helping students build understanding and confidence in the classroom. By combining her industry experience with enthusiasm for teaching, she strives to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for students.
