Dr. Joshua AdigunDr. Aanuoluwapo Joshua Adigun is a Mathematics Instructor at Colby Community College, where he has taught since August 2024. With more than a decade of experience in mathematics education and research, he is committed to helping students develop confidence in mathematics, strengthen their critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, and achieve their academic goals.

Originally from Ibadan, Nigeria, Adigun earned a Bachelor of Technology in Pure and Applied Mathematics from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology and a doctorate in Applied Mathematics from the University of Lagos. He was later awarded a scholarship to pursue graduate studies at the University of Delaware, where he earned a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Mathematical Sciences.

Before joining Colby Community College, Adigun spent approximately 10 years as a Lecturer in Mathematics at Bells University of Technology in Nigeria, where he taught undergraduate mathematics courses, supervised student research, conducted research, and contributed to academic and student-support activities.

Adigun's research interests include applied mathematics, fluid dynamics, mathematical modeling, and numerical methods. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in applied mathematics and related areas. In 2026, he participated virtually as a distinguished speaker at an international multidisciplinary research conference held in his hometown of Ibadan, Nigeria.

At Colby Community College, Adigun strives to create a supportive learning environment that encourages students to think critically, overcome challenges, and recognize the practical value of mathematics. He believes education has the power to transform lives and is passionate about equipping students with the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to succeed inside and beyond the classroom.
