Welcome to Colby Community College
We’re excited to have you join the Trojan family! Move-In Weekend and Welcome Week will help new students settle in, become familiar with campus, meet fellow students, and prepare for the start of classes.

Move-In Checklist
New students should complete the following tasks as they arrive on campus:
- Residence Hall: Report to your assigned residence hall lobby.
- Class Schedule: Visit the Advising Center or TRIO Student Support Services.
- Books: Visit the Trojan Trading Post.
- Student Accounts: Set up your billing.
- Student ID: Visit the Student Union.
- Admissions Paperwork: Visit the Student Union.
- Parking Permit: Visit the Student Union and have your vehicle and license plate information available.
- Financial Aid: Visit the Student Union.
Move-In Weekend
Friday, Aug. 14
- 9 a.m.
- Campus offices open. Offices close at 4 p.m.
- 9 a.m.
- Placement testing in the H.F. Davis Library. Testing closes at 2 p.m.
- 2 p.m.
- Parent meeting in the Student Union Cafeteria.
- 6 p.m. Central Time
- Bus transportation from Denver International Airport. All flights must land by 6 p.m. Central Time.
Saturday, Aug. 15
- 9 a.m.
- Campus offices open. Offices close at 3 p.m.
- 9 a.m.
- Placement testing in the H.F. Davis Library. Testing closes at 2 p.m.
- 2 p.m.
- Parent meeting in the Student Union Cafeteria.
Sunday, Aug. 16
- 3 p.m.
- Residence Hall Meeting at the Northwest Kansas Cultural Arts Center theater. Attendance is required for all residence hall students.
- 4 p.m.
- Athletics Meeting at the Northwest Kansas Cultural Arts Center theater. Attendance is required for all student-athletes.
- 6:30 p.m.
- Campus scavenger hunt beginning at the Clock Tower. Students will learn where their classes are located before Monday.
Welcome Week Schedule
All students are welcome and encouraged to participate in Welcome Week activities.
Monday, Aug. 17
- 7 p.m.
- Card games and sidewalk chalk in the Student Union Multipurpose Room.
Tuesday, Aug. 18
- 7 to 9 p.m.
- Pool party at the Colby Aquatic Park. Students must bring their student ID.
Wednesday, Aug. 19
- 11 a.m.
- Block Party at the Clock Tower. Meet local businesses and learn about products, services, and opportunities in the community.
- 7 p.m.
- Movie on the Lawn in the open field beside Living Center East.
Thursday, Aug. 20
- 7 p.m.
- Street dance in the Bedker Memorial Complex parking lot.
Friday, Aug. 21
- 8 a.m.
- International Student Meeting in the Student Union Multipurpose Room. Attendance is required for all international students.
- 9 a.m.
- First Year Experience at the Northwest Kansas Cultural Arts Center theater. Attendance is required for all first-time CCC students.
- 3 p.m.
- Water dodgeball and Slip 'n Slide in the open field beside Living Center East.
- 6 p.m.
- Sunflower Festival in downtown Colby, including a dunk tank, street dance, live music, and food trucks.
Saturday, Aug. 22
- 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Sunflower Festival continues in downtown Colby.
