Trail Ride Offered to CCC Students
Colby Community College students are invited to sign-up for an authentic trail ride scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 28, beginning at 1 p.m. The trail ride is the first activity planned as part of the “Great Western Experience” initiative this semester at CCC.
“The Great Western Experience is a celebration of the many unique opportunities and fun activities available in and around the Colby area,” said Vice President of Student Affairs Dr. George McNulty. “In addition to the trail ride, there will be trips to a haunted house/corn maze in the Denver area in October, a concert or theater performance in November, National Western Stock Show in January, skiing at Steamboat Springs in February, a professional sporting event in March and a fishing tournament in April.”
The cost to participate in the trail ride which includes a camp fire and meal is just $30. Tashia Kuper, the CCC Equestrian Team and Coach Shanda Mattix will be assisting with the event. Participation is limited for all activities.
“Big Skies. Bigger Opportunities! Is the slogan for the college this year,” said Dr. McNulty. “The Great Western Experience is just one of the initiatives planned across campus to promote the distinctive and exceptional atmosphere in Colby, the surrounding area and at the college.”
