Colby Community College will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to open the renovated north section of the Living Center North residence hall on Friday, August 12, at 4 p.m. The ceremony will be in the quad area of Living Center North, located across from the CCC gym and fitness center.

Launched in May, the $294,000 project was mostly funded by a grant from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation in Logan.

“The Hansen Foundation has been instrumental in the development and success of Colby Community College,” said CCC president Seth Carter. “We are truly humbled by their generosity, and this renovation will touch the lives of countless students for years to come.”

Remodeling of the 40-bed area is the third and final phase of improvements to the residence hall. Other updates took place in 2014 and 2015. The total investment is nearly $1 million, financed largely by grants and private donations.

Refreshments will be served, and visitors may tour the renovated rooms following the ceremony.
