Equine attorney Denise Farris of Farris Law Firm, LLC, will share her expertise on equine ownership legal issues on Wednesday, March 2, at 6:30 p.m. in the Colby Community College Student Union, room 108.

Farris has been identified by Equus Magazine as a national leader in equine law. Her March 2 presentation will include topics such as premise liability and use of waivers, boarding disputes, and contract issues. She’ll also address trailer hauling liabilities, the Volunteer Protection Act and the Recreational Land Use statute.

The event is sponsored by the Kansas Horse Council and supported by the CCC horse program. Refreshments will be provided by the Thomas County Farm Bureau Association.
