Five members of the CCC Student Government Association (SGA) and two CCC staff members traveled to Topeka on March 5 to learn more about the legislative process. In addition to meeting with Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer, the students viewed sessions of the Senate and the House of Representatives. Later they met with Sen Ralph Ostmeyer in his office and had the opportunity to ask questions. During a tour of the capitol, the students met Gov. Sam Brownback.

That evening the Colby students went to Manhattan and attended a meeting of the Kansas State University Student Government Association. They met with several K-State student senators and generated new ideas to implement at CCC.
