(COLBY) - Colby Community College art instructor Rebel Jay and her students will host the Annual Spring Art Walk on Friday, April 17, from 5-9 p.m. along Franklin Avenue in downtown Colby. The show will feature works by professional artists, CCC art students, and pieces by area K-12 public and private schools. Most of the artists will be on hand.

“There will be something for every age group,” said Jay. “It’s not just looking at art. For the kids there will be face painting, a balloon artist, transfer tattoos, and more.”

CCC art students will be at select locations explaining the artwork. The CCC ceramics class will be selling pieces at Sincerely Yours bakery to raise money for a new kiln.

The Colby High Plains Art Club pieces will be located in the Law Enforcement Training Center. Brandon Wagoner will be singing live inside Beyond the Mug. The CCC massage therapy students will be offering free massages. David Pabst will bring his 1887 chuck wagon and cook food on the south side of Bank West.  Caricature artists, food vendors and other activities will be available.

“The Colby businesses have been helpful to make this a fun event for the whole family. There will be a lot to do and see,” said Jay.
