The Colby Community College livestock judging team is hosting the second annual CCC Classic Spring Livestock Show on May 14 at Colby's Thomas County Fairgrounds.

The show starts at 9:00 a.m. with swine, followed by goats, sheep, and cattle. The judge is Caleb Christensen from Greeley, Colo. Prizes include a $500 scholarship to CCC for the champion senior showman in each species and a $250 CCC scholarship for the reserve champion senior showman in each species. The champion and reserve champion showmen in the intermediate and junior divisions receive a cash payback. The overall grand champion in each species (market and breeding) will be awarded a belt buckle and banner. The overall reserve champion in each species (market and banner) will be awarded a fitting mat cooler and banner.

Entries can be submitted online. Registrations before May 12 receive a discounted rate. Fees are $30 for each calf, $20 for each swine, sheep, and goat, and $10 for showmanship. An additional $5 is added to each entry after May 12 or on show day.
