CCC hosts blood drive

Tue Sep 22, 2020

Colby Community College will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Robert Burnett Student Union. Donors should enter through the east doors.

To donate, a person must be in general good health and feeling well, be at least 17 years old, and weigh at least 110 pounds.  Donors must present identification at registration in the form of a Red Cross donor card, a valid driver's license or other official photo identification.

The Red Cross is closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak. America is facing a blood shortage due to the number of blood drive cancelations. Giving blood is safe, and donating now is an important step to ensure there is no national health care crisis on top of the current pandemic.

Appointments can be made by visiting redcrossblood.org or contacting Hailey Murray at (785) 772-1496 or hailey.murray@redcross.org.
