As academic classes progress online at Colby Community College, three community enrichment workshops are being taught virtually in April and May. Topics include an introduction to guitar, beginning drawing, and cookie decorating. There is no cost to enroll.

The sessions will be delivered over the remote video conferencing platform Zoom. Students can set up a free account at zoom.com and attend workshops at the designated time.

Introduction to Guitar

Offered from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on April 14, 21, and 28, the class is open to all ages and intended for beginners or those who play but want to increase their knowledge of the fundamentals. For more information, contact daniel.blake@colbycc.edu.

Beginning Drawing

From 2 to 2:30 p.m. on April 20, 22, 27, and 29, and May 4, 6, 11 and 13, the drawing workshop is open to all ages. The workshop covers the basics of drawing and building up to a composition of ideas. If needed, instructor Rebel Mahieu, rebel.mahieu@colbycc.edu, can provide pencils.
