Help offered for nursing exam

Fri Oct 12, 2018 at 03:53 PM

The Colby Community College Adult program along with Career Technical Education will be offering a free class for the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) required for admission to the nursing program.

The class will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning Oct. 30. Books will be provided.

“Providing the student the opportunity to prepare for the specific subjects assessed in the TEAS Admission Exam is an integral first step in beginning the journey to becoming a nurse,” said CCC nursing program director Rikki Wait. “Face-to-face instruction and tutoring help students improve on weaker areas and improve their overall exam scores, which leads to more admission points and an increased chance for a seat in the nursing program. We are excited to provide this opportunity to students and provide a rewarding career path.”
