Colby Community College is offering community enrichment workshops in October and November. The courses will teach the basics of lifestyle dance, learning to play bridge, doing acrylic pours, and decorating holiday cookies.

The workshops are designed to serve adults with educational goals that do not require college credit. The purpose of the fee-based opportunities is to contribute to the community’s overall cultural, civic, and intellectual growth.

Registration for all workshops is available online at www.colbycc.edu/ceworkshops, or by calling the Admissions Office at (785) 460-4690.

Participants in the lifestyle dance workshop will learn two-step, line dancing, modern swing, and waltz. Sessions will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on four consecutive Thursdays beginning Oct. 25. The registration fee is $25.

The bridge workshop is designed for players with little or no previous knowledge. The sessions will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 3, 10, 17 and Dec. 1. Registration is $25 per person.

November 6 and 13 art enthusiasts can learn to do an acrylic pour to create pieces similar to those in home decor stores and on Pinterest. The meeting time is from 6 to 8 p.m., and the $30 fee includes two canvases.

The basics of holiday cookie decorating will be the topic from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 11 and 12. A decorating kit is included with the $30 fee.
