The Colby Community College practical nursing program will be assisting with the American Red Cross blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28 in the Robert Burnett Student Union. All donors will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card.

According to the Red Cross, each donation can help save several lives.  Blood is a perishable commodity and must be regularly replaced.

To donate blood, a person must be in general good health and feeling well, be at least 17 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds.  Donors must present identification at registration in the form of a Red Cross donor card, a valid driver’s license or other official photo identification. Additional information regarding donor eligibility is online at www.redcross.org.
