Wind Technical Certificate Brochure (37 hours)

The Bureau of Labor Statistics says that employment of wind turbine service technicians is projected to grow 68 percent from 2020-2030, much faster than the average for all occupations. Because wind electricity generation is expected to grow rapidly over the coming decade, additional technicians will be needed to install and maintain new turbines. Job prospects are expected to be excellent.

Because CCC offers both the Wind Technology Technical Certificate and the Wind Certificate of Completion online, students have the flexibility to learn and work from home.

Participation in Saturday “boot camps” is recommended to gain hands-on training. Boot camps are offered every eight weeks in the fall and spring semesters, and offer state-of the art equipment/labs that are real-world systems (not mockups).

For those wanting to change careers, become a wind turbine installer or designer, homeowners, and farm owners, this program has a course and training lab for everyone.
