The Adult Education Department at Colby Community College is offering free General Education Development (GED) preparation classes beginning January 9, 2012.  The GED diploma is widely recognized as credible and valuable by employers and colleges. One in 20 students enrolled in post-secondary education nationwide holds a GED diploma.

The CCC Adult Education Center is located in the lower level of the H.F. Davis Library.  The center provides instruction for adults with a wide variety of goals such as improving basic reading, writing and math skills; preparing for the GED exam leading to the Kansas High School Diploma; preparing for the Work Keys test used for obtaining a Kansas WorkReady! credential; raising skills in anticipation of entering post-secondary education or training, learning basic money management; and acquiring basic technology skills.

Sessions are forming now to begin in January.  There is no charge to participate.

To enroll for more information, call Nance Munderloh at 460-4663 or stop by the campus office.
