Maisy Munson Signs with University of Texas-Pan American
Lady Trojan sophomore setter Maisy Munson, a native of Anthem, Ariz., has signed a letter of intent to continue her volleyball career. She will play for Head Coach Brian Yale at the University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg, Tex.
Munson, a team captain, had a standout career at Colby Community College. With 1,498 assists her sophomore season and 2,586 career assists, her stats place her at the top of the list of setters at CCC since 2000.
Munson led the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) and ranked third nationally in assists. She was first in the Jayhawk Conference and fourth nationally in assists per set (11.10). Munson ranked second on the team for aces and had 99 kills—hitting a .268 over the course of the season. Her efforts earned her a top spot on the 1st Team All-Conference squad as a freshman and sophomore at CCC.
She is the daughter of Keith and Kelly Munson of Las Lunas, N.M. Maisy will graduate in May with an Associate of Arts degree in general studies.
