Thu Apr 13, 2017 at 08:54 AM

Colby Community College art instructor Rebel Mahieu and her students will host the annual Spring Art Walk on Friday, April 21, from 5-9 p.m. along Franklin Avenue in downtown Colby. This is the seventh year for the Art Walk.

The show will feature works by professional artists, as well as pieces from students at CCC and area K-12 public and private schools.

Colby High School senior August Hutfles will be showing how to throw clay pots on a ceramic wheel outside of Horlacher's jewelers.

Art and activities will span 16 locations. Works of art by area K-12 students will be displayed at McCarty Dairy. CCC student pieces will be on display in Colby Furniture.

Music, face painting, food vendors and other activities will also be available.

“There will be all kinds of interesting talent to see, and we still have room for more if somebody has something they want to share,” Mahieu said.

There is no charge to attend. For more information or to volunteer, contact Mahieu at (785) 460-5459.
