What is Student Life?

The Student Life department runs activities, but more importantly we help clubs and organizations assess their activities.  Based on these assessments we issue co-curricular transcripts to students upon request.

General activities: We sponsor relaxed games and movie nights for students, free of charge, two to three nights a week.

On-Campus Entertainment

Colby Community College offers a wide range of facilities for recreation, activities, and entertainment. The swimming pool, gym, tennis courts, and racquetball courts are available and open for student use at designated times.  Both living centers have facilities for various types of recreation and activities. The Cultural Arts Center is designed for plays, lectures and concerts.  In addition, the Student Union has a multi-purpose area, TV room, and lounge area.

There are also many on campus activities and events scheduled each semester, from formals and other dances to BBQs, talent shows, and many exciting home sporting events to attend.

Intramurals
Under the direction of the Intramural Coordinator, several different sports are offered throughout the school year.  During the first eight weeks of fall classes you can participate in flag football for men, and softball for women. Co-ed volleyball is held during the second half of the semester.  After Christmas break, you can become involved in men's and women's basketball. In the spring, co-ed slow-pitch softball begins. Depending on student interest, other sports like sand volleyball or water polo are scheduled.
