Mission

It is the mission of Colby Community College to provide safe and affordable housing to students.  CCC strives to enhance the personal and academic success of the students through community building and programs providing by housing staff.

Values

Colby Community College values the diversity of each student and their success both in and out of the classroom. Each student is a valued member of residence life and the staff strive to show the importance of each individual.

Goals of Colby Community College Housing include:

  • Provide opportunities for students to grow and lead in their building and on campus
  • Develop learning environments both in and out of the classroom
  • Increase retention and recruitment through activities and improvements

Residence Halls

Research shows that one of the key factors impacting a college student’s success is his/her living arrangements. Studies show students who live on-campus are more likely to have a higher degree of satisfaction with their college experience, participate in co-curricular activities and return to college the following year as well as improve their personal and educational relationships.

Colby Community College offers a great opportunity for students to live on campus! Living Center Northeast is the newest addition to our housing options. The rooms are set up as suites with a bathroom shared by two rooms. Each room is double occupancy with you and your roommate sharing a closet and vanity/sink area. Living Centers East and North are set up in four room suites, referred to as units with a maximum of two students per room, or a maximum of eight students per unit. Each unit has a bathroom and a shared living room.

Living center lobbies feature a television, microwave oven, refrigerator and vending machines as well as public computer banks. In addition, a coin-operated laundry facility is located in the lobby of both Living Centers East and North and on each floor in Living Center Northeast. Each living center is located within walking distance of the fitness center, indoor swimming pool, volleyball pits and tennis courts, as well as the Student Union and classroom buildings.

Students who live in the residence halls have access to the CCC dining room, operated by Chartwells Food Service. All housing plans include a meal plan. Housing costs for the 2011-12 academic year are as follows:
