If you are not feeling well or just need to talk over a health concern, the Student Health Center is the place to go. The center is located down the south hall of the Student Union.
Health services are provided under the direction of a registered nurse and the campus physician. The Health Center is open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Students are seen on a drop-in basis. Appointments are needed for consultation with the physician. Physician visits off campus can also be scheduled through the Student Health Center.
Services provided include: Health counseling, student health insurance information, athletic injuries and insurance, community agency referrals, health records, health education, screening and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, family planning, immunizations, basic laboratory testing, basic first-aid, allergy shots, flu vaccinations, mononucleosis testing, and blood pressure monitoring.
All health information of any individual is held in the strictest of confidence at the Center. Only by a signed medical release form is information communicated with outside entities.
Any fees for services are paid directly by students or staff to the Student Health Center.
Students are not provided health insurance coverage by the college. However, if students are interested in information on health insurance companies that can provide coverage, there is information available at the Health Center.
