Cross Country

Juan Alvarado – Hobbs/Hobbs, New Mexico

Juan was a 5A NMAA Cross Country state qualifier as a senior. He also qualified to the NMAA Track & Field Championships in the 800 meter run where he finished tenth in a personal best 1:58.78.

Samuel Carrasco – Hobbs/Hobbs, New Mexico

Samuel finished fifth at the NMAA 4A Cross Country State Championships as a senior with a 16:23.50. On the track, Samuel went on to win the 800 meter run at the NMAA 5A Track & Field State Championships in a personal best 1:53.39. He was also a member of the 4x400 meter relay which finished sixth at the state me and holds a personal best of 4:35.26 in the 1600 meter run.

Stephen Cherigat – Tambach/Eldoret, Kenya

Stephen has personal bests of 8:55 in the 3000 meter run and 15:13 in the 5000 meter run.

Aaron Hillman – Holy Family/Brighton, Colorado

Aaron ended his senior cross country campaign at the 3A Colorado State Championships with a 10th place finish. On the track, Aaron ran personal best of 10:08.35 in the 3200 meter run at the Track & Field State Championships in route to finishing 11th overall.

 

Track & Field 

Sydney Ajanga – Marshall/Marshall, Texas

Sydney ran a 49.84 in the prelims of the District 14-4A Championships and finished third. He went on to run a personal best of 49.58 at the Region II-2A Championships.

Adrian Gibson – Doris Johnson /Nassau, Bahamas

As a senior, Adrian was fifth in 10.81 at the National High School Championships in the 100 meters. His high school team won the 4x100 meter relay earning honors to compete at the Penn Relays. He won the public school 100 meter title in 10.72. Adrian holds personal best of 10.69 in the 100 meters and 21.72 in the 200 meters.

Jahrod Henderson – Colleyville/Cedar Hill, Texas

As a senior, Jahrod was finalist in the 100 meter dash at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. He ran a 10.67 in the 100 meter dash to finish second at the District 6-5A Championships. Jahrod ran a personal best of 10.56 at the Region I-5A Championships placing him sixth.

James Kolb – Buffalo/Buffalo, Texas

James finished fourth at the UIL Track & Field Championships in the 400 meter dash. He was the Region II-2A Champion in the 400 meter dash with a personal best of 48.83. He also holds a personal best long jump of 21-03.25.

Kody Maddox – Pampa/Pampa, Texas

Kody won the District 1-3A title in the 100 meter dash in a personal best of 10.49. After placing third at Region I-3A Championships in 10.75, he finished his senior campaign with a seventh place finish in the 100 meter dash at the UIL Track & Field Championships with a 10.81.

Andrew Moore – Rosebud-Lott/Rosebud, Texas

Andrew was the UIL Track & Field 100 meter state champion in the 2A class. He won the state title in a time of 10.61 and finished third in the long jump with a jump of 22-07.00. Andrew ran a personal best of 10.52 in the 100 meter dash at the Region II-2A Championships and also holds a personal best long jump of 23-00.75.

Juan Rubio – Rockdale/Hutto, Texas

In 2013, Juan finished third in the 3200 meter run at the Region III-3A Championships in a time of 10:04.16. He also qualified to the UIL Cross Country State Championships as a senior.

Claudius Russell – Doris Johnson/Nassau, Bahamas

Claudius was a two-time Bahamas National High School Champion and GSSSA Champion in the 800 meter run. In 2013, he qualified to the IAAF World Youth Championships in the 800 meter run. Claudius holds a personal best of 1:53.82 at 800 meters and 4:15.02 at 1500 meters.

Julian Sanchez-Pinto – IES San Sebastian/San Sebastian, Spain

Julian competed at the World Youth Track & Field Championships in Donetsk, Ukraine in 2013. He set the San Sebastian Canary Islands record in the 2000 meter steeplechase with a time of 5:59.05 after he finished second at the Spanish Championships.

Adam Simmerman – Goodland/Goodland, Kansas

Adam was a track & field state qualifier in the 800 meter run, 4 x 800 meter relay and the 4 x 400 meter relay as a senior. He ran a personal best of 1:59.39 at the KHSAA Track & Field Championships where he finished tenth.

Jai’shawn Thompson – Fountain-Fort Carson/Colorado Springs, Colorado

As a senior, Jai’shawn won the Air Force Indoor Open in the 60 meter and 200 meter dash with his indoor bests of 6.87 and 21.99. In 2013, he was the CHSAA 5A state champion in the 200 meter dash with a personal best of 21.32. He also won the USATF Colorado Championships in the 100 meter dash in 10.60.

Christian Williams – Karen Wagner/San Antonio, Texas

Christian was UIL Track & Field state qualifier in the 800 meter run as a sophomore where he ran 1:55.89. Christian holds a personal best of 1:55.26 in the 800 meter run.
