Colby Community College All-American Josh Quiroga has signed a letter of intent to compete for University of Central Arkansas (UCA) next season. Quiroga, a native of Uvalde, Tex., is a four-time All-American for the Trojans. Quiroga was a member of the national champion 4 x 800 meter relay and Distance Medley Relay that helped lead Colby to a second place team finish at the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Quiroga is the ninth Trojan to sign with a four-year university this season and the fifth Division-I signee. Quiroga will join his teammates Ashley Riley, Gennard Paul and Keenan Williams who signed with Southland Conference member schools earlier this semester. At Central Arkansas, Quiroga will reunite with former teammate Jonathan Burgess who signed with UCA last season. Quiroga becomes the twelfth Trojan to transfer into the Southland Conference during Head Coach James Ortiz’s tenure.
