The CCC Horsemanship Camps are designed to be both an educational and fun experience for youth. Youth ages 5-10 are allowed to participate as day campers only. The overnight horsemanship camp is for ages 11-17. Both English and Western disciplines are available during each camp session. Campers are under supervision by CCC Equestrian Coaches and team members during their entire stay at CCC. Housing and meals are provided at the CCC residence halls. Transportation between main campus and the CCC Horse Unit is provided by counselors/coaches in CCC vans.
CCC is pleased to offer the following sessions of summer Horsemanship Camps:
Space is limited to 15 campers for each camp.
Horsemanship Camp: May 24-27, 2015
Campers must have previous riding experience and be able to demonstrate basic riding skills. Camp will begin on Sunday, May 24 with camper registration and horse check-in at 3:00pm at the CCC Agricultural Center. Each day following will include riding instruction; lectures on topics such as safety, grooming, nutrition and horse behavior; demonstrations; and fun activities. Additional activities are designed to expose campers to other areas of the equine industry and help campers get to know one another. Campers will have the opportunity to swim at the CCC pool. On the last morning, campers will demonstrate their skills for their parents before leaving by 11:00 am to return home.
Beginner Day Camp: May 28, 2015
This day camp is for beginner riders with limited experience. Camp will begin on Thursday, May 28 with camper registration and horse check-in at 8:30am at the CCC Agricultural Center. The lunch meal will be provided. Camp will conclude at 4:00pm.
Young Showman Day Camp: May 29, 2015
Campers must have two years of previous show experience. Camp will begin on Friday, May 29 with camper registration and horse check-in at 8:30am at the CCC Agricultural Center. The lunch meal will be provided. Camp will conclude at 4:00pm.

Cost for camp will be as follows:
- $300 - overnight w/ own horse
- $350 - overnight w/ leased horse
- $75 – day camp w/ own horse
- $85 – day camp w/ leased horse
This includes tuition, housing, activities and all meals beginning with dinner on the first day and ending with breakfast on the last. Stalls or runs are also included and come pre-bedded with straw. However, if you are bringing your own horse and would prefer shavings, you are responsible for providing them. You are also required to bring hay, grain, grooming supplies, saddle, bridle, pads and any other necessary supplies to care for your horse.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own horse for use during camp. A very limited number of CCC-owned horses will be available for lease at an additional cost. Campers who are bringing their own horses are required to provide the following prior to or at registration:
- Health certificate (within 30 days)
- Valid negative Coggins certificate (within 1 year)
- Proof of current 4-way/5-way vaccination
- Proof of current West Nile vaccination
Registration for the 2015 sessions will open January 1, 2015 and will close May 15, 2015.
Registration is limited to 15 campers per session and will be accepted and confirmed on a first come, first serve basis. Registration cutoff for both sessions is May 15, or sooner if full. A waiting list will be established for registrations received after the camps are full. Confirmation of enrollment and additional information concerning the Summer Horsemanship Camps will be mailed after the registration deadline.

Cancellations made before May 15 will receive a full refund minus a 10% office fee. Cancellations made between May 15 and the first day of the camp session will receive a refund equal to 50% of the total camp cost. Cancellations made on or after the first day of the camp session are not refundable.
The primary riding instructors for camp will be Colby Community College Equestrian Coaches supported by CCC Equestrian team members.
