Technical Certificate

This unique one-year program concentrates specifically on Solar Photovoltaic (PV). Solar PV is one of the fastest growing technologies in the energy market. Because this program is online, it gives the student the ability to learn and work from home. Certain online courses have a one Saturday “boot camp” that is highly recommended. However, if the student is unable to attend, an alternative assignment will be given. Students can also start this program any semester including summer. The student will need to complete all three semesters (fall, spring, and summer) to complete the program. Each semester, the student will be engaged in multiple online courses that will precisely prepare them for a career in Solar PV.

Our Boot Camps have state-of the art equipment/labs that are real-world systems (not mockups) for hands-on training. Some of the best training experiences found in this program are through our hands-on labs. Boot Camps give the student the necessary hands-on training needed to be successful in this industry.

For people wanting to change careers, become a PV installer or designer, homeowners, and farm owners, this program has a course and training lab for everyone. The graduate of this unique program will be prepared to take the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Entry Level Exam for Solar PV. Employers are looking for this credential when hiring. Because this program can be completed in one year, the graduate will be quickly prepared for the solar industry and his/her career!
