Colby Community College officials recognized the school’s 50th anniversary with a community celebration on Saturday, July 12.  CCC President Steve Vacik hosted a public celebration featuring former presidents Dr. Richard Mosier, Dr. James Tangeman, Dr. Mikel Ary and Dr. Max Heim.

Approximately 175 people attended the event held in the Northwest Kansas Cultural Arts Center.  Entertainment was provided by past members of the Sunflower Singers.  Lloyd White, a member of the first Board of Trustees, attended the event with his family members.

A community ice cream social followed at 5:30 p.m. on the CCC campus.  Participants enjoyed ice cream and watermelon.  Games for children including a bounce house and fun photo booth were provided.
